ive people were killed and four others were injured during an accident involving a bus and a container truck at kilometer 94 of the Tangerang-Merak toll road in Purwakarta district in Cilegon, Banten, on Tuesday at midnight.
The bus, an inter-island bus traveling from Medan, North Sumatra, to Jakarta, hit a container truck traveling to Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, tribunnews.com reported.
The bus driver was driving at a high speed prior to the accident before losing control of the vehicle at kilometer 94, causing the bus to crash into the back of the container truck.

Some of the dead and injured victims were taken to the Drajat Prawiranegara general regional hospital in Serang, while others were transported to Krakatau Medika Hospital in Cilegon.
Personnel of the Banten and Cilegon Police’s traffic accident investigation division are investigating the accident. The police were also looking for the bus driver, who fled the scene after the accident. (nal)
