string of online attacks against Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) employees and their supporters is escalating as more people have been targeted.
The latest attack occurred against former KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah on Thursday evening. He wrote though his Twitter handle @febridiansyah that he could not access his WhatsApp account. His access to the account was only restored on Friday morning.
Febri added that unidentified parties had also tried, but failed, to log into his account for the Telegram instant messaging service.
Akun WA saya barusan tidak bisa diakses. Jika ada pesan yg saya kirimkan saat ini, itu bukan dari saya.
Sebelumnya ada incomplete login di akun Telegram Saya..

“Hopefully, authorities will take [measures] to ensure the protection of citizen’s personal data as well as their right to communicate,” he wrote on Friday.
