he ASEAN-Korea Train set off from Seoul Station in the South Korean capital on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m., marking the 40-day countdown to the 2019 ASEAN-Korea Commemorative Summit.
State leaders from 10 ASEAN countries, including President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, will attend the summit in Busan along with their South Korean counterpart President Moon Jae-in.
The three-day journey will stop over in Gyeongju, Busan, Suncheon and Gwangju with around 200 passengers from the 11 countries, including students, performers and ASEAN delegates.

He added that “through 30 years of intense cooperation, ASEAN and Korea have become indispensable partners to each other.”
“We look forward to further deepening our relations based on mutual trust and strong friendship,” he said.
