NE Featherweight kickboxing champion Superbon Singha Mawynn may have cemented his status as one of kickboxing’s greatest of all time (GOAT) following a dominant win over Marat Grigorian at ONE X on March 26.
The Thai has not only defended his title against a strong opponent, but he has also taken revenge on a knockout loss he experienced back in 2018 to the dangerous Armenian.
Although Grigorian took to action hard in the first and second round with a flurry of boxing combinations aimed to slow the advance of Superbon, the Champ kept his cool and attacked intelligently utilizing evasive skills.
The king of ONE featherweight kickboxing division peppered his rival with low kicks and step-in knees to
Going to round three, Grigorian found some success with his boxing combination, but it was quickly stuffed as Superbon quickly tied him up. The Thai star’s plan succeeded in him avoiding real damage to enter the later rounds.
The championship round found Grigorian severely lacking as the Champion’s attacks had taken their toll on his performance. Superbon doubled his kicks and left his opponent’s body bruised, which drove the champ to utilize the step-in knees to drive his opponent into a hole he could not hope to climb out of.
The 15 minutes of action had shown the judges all they needed to see to give the champ his belt back and bump up his record to 113-34. Now he awaits the winner of ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix, Chingiz Allazov.
“Yeah, good fighter, we are good friends,” Superbon said of the upcoming showdown with Allazov. “But in the ring, I’m going to beat him for sure.”
“Whenever we can do it tomorrow,” he told the media on the sideline of ONE X.

While the fight is imminent, a win for Superbon could cement him as the best kickboxer in the world right now as he has been on a roll since joining the ONE Super Series-ONE Championship all-striking league. Prior to dominating Grigorian, he emphatically defeated Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong and Giorgio Petrosyan – two of the world’s most accomplished kickboxers.
While his upcoming fight is yet to be revealed, the 31-year-old Thai is proud of what he has achieved and to have put the country on a global map.
“I’m so proud of myself,” the champ added. “I represent Thailand. I’m so proud that I’m from Thailand. All generations, we are fighters.”
