Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan has argued that many travelers from Bandung prefer to fly from Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport rather than go to Kertajati International Airport in Majalengka, after Husein Sastranegara Airport’s closure in 2023.
Kertajati International Airport, also known as West Java International Airport (BIJB), is set to serve domestic passenger flights starting November or December this year, in a possible revival of the facility after more than a couple of years left dormant.
