View all search resultsThe Wrestling Association of Indonesia’s (PGSI) decision not to send a team to the recently commenced 2019 Philippines SEA Games has sparked uproar among PGSI members. Members have said they could not see the logic behind the decision and accused the PGSI’s head of development and achievement, Gusti Randa, as being responsible.
The team was scheduled to practice at 8 a.m. at the badminton venue at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex in Metro Manila. The bus, however, only reached the team’s hotel at 8 a.m. The venue is two hours from the hotel.
SAS' lawyer, Imam Moklas, explained that his client also took issue with the association using the loss of one’s virginity as grounds for dismissing an athlete from the training center. Imam has filed a complaint to President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, the Youth and Sports Ministry, KONI and Persani.
Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Sheila Reyes said that since Kammuri was categorized as a typhoon, its coverage could be vast and that rain and strong winds would likely affect Central and Southern Luzon, including Metro Manila.
