View all search resultsThe results of a study by German international cooperation agency GIZ state that each 3.5-meter-wide road lane could be used by 25,000 people per hour if facilitated by bus rapid transit — much higher than the average 2,000 to 4,000 people per hour when the lanes are for general traffic. With more people using public transportation, everyone would benefit and we would have lower emissions, as urban transport is a major contributor to pollution.
