Analysis: Airport firms merged to create one the world’s biggest operators
The government has merged the country’s two state-owned airport operators into one, PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, in a bid to improve efficiency, and eventually cut logistics costs in the country, while at the same time improving profitability. After the merger the new entity is now called InJourney Airports, part of giant state-owned aviation and tourism holding company PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (InJourney).

Govt rushes to finish new airport ahead of Nusantara launch
Nusantara Airport, initially designated to serve only very important guests of the state , is slated for completion by Aug. 1 with a trial run in July, just in time for the country’s Independence Day flag ceremony, which is also the capital’s inauguration day.
