View all search resultsSingaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong embarked on his two-day state visit to Indonesia on Tuesday in a move described by international experts as “strategic” given the archipelago’s importance to the island country and Indonesia’s projected bigger role on the global stage under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto.
Prabowo visited Vietnam over the weekend, ostensively as an extension to his three-day ASEAN tour in early September, and met with Vietnamese leaders to discuss bilateral cooperation as well as to convey his condolences to people affected by Typhoon Yagi.
First revealed during Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto's visit to Canberra earlier this month, the Indonesia-Australia Defense Cooperation Agreement (DCA) is finally signed after over 30 bilateral meetings since March of last year.

The government of Rwanda officially opened its embassy in Indonesia on June 6, at the Embassy of Rwanda office in Menteng Dalam, Tebet District, South Jakarta. The inauguration was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda Vincent Biruta and the Rwandan Ambassador to Indonesia Sheikh Abdul Karim Harelimana.
