View all search resultsThe Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) says it is ready to take over prosecutor Pinangki Sirna Malasari's case from the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) as long as it met certain requirements stipulated in the KPK Law.
Graft convict Djoko Soegiarto Tjandra has admitted to giving money to Brig. Gen. Prasetyo Utomo and Insp. Gen. Napoleon Bonaparte for allowing him to travel to and within the country when he was a fugitive, the National Police have said.
Napoleon was previously removed from his post as the the National Police’s international relations division head for his alleged involvement in removing Djoko’s red notice status, allowing the graft convict to freely enter the country despite being on the most-wanted list since 2009.
The Attorney General Office’s supervisory unit previously said that Pinangki had committed an ethics violation by going on nine international trips to Singapore and Malaysia in 2019 without permission, allegedly to meet with Djoko Tjandra, who was still at large at the time.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested 11 former members of the North Sumatra Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) for allegedly accepting bribes from the province’s former governor, graft convict Gatot Pujo Nugroho.
