However, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has said he wanted Indonesia to further increase coal production to 585 million by year-end as part of efforts to narrow the current-account deficit (CAD).
The government has said it will monitor fundamental indicators of the economy as renewed pressures stemming from Turkey reverberated throughout emerging markets economies, while emphasizing its priority to cut the current account deficit (CAD).
