Jakarta stands in solidarity with Christchurch following fatal mosque attacks
Three newly renovated footbridges on Jl. Sudirman in South Jakarta were lit in the colors of the New Zealand flag on Friday to show solidarity with Christchurch after terrorist attacks at two mosques in that city took the lives of at least 49 people and injured dozens others.

Shock over a suicide bombing on Wednesday in North Sumatra had barely dissipated when news broke over shootings at mosques during Friday prayers in the peaceful city of Christchurch, New Zealand. We join our neighbors in grieving for the devastating loss of lives in incidents in which so many were wounded, including two Indonesians.

Extremist appears in court charged with New Zealand mosque attack
