View all search resultsThe government is going ahead with its plan to establish an oil and gas holding company, marked by the reorganization Wednesday of state-owned energy company Pertamina, a move that resulted in the removal of the gas directorate, an official has said.
The planned acquisition of state-owned energy firm Pertamina subsidiary PT Pertagas by state-owned gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) will be an initial step toward the establishment of an oil and gas holding, PGN corporate secretary Rachmat Hutama said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Pertamina has highlighted the importance of merging state-owned company Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) and the state-owned energy giant’s subsidiary, Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), claiming that doing so may save at least US$1.6 billion in investment.
