Thousands of civil servants have reportedly received social aid, ministry says
The ministry has identified 31,624 civil servants who have been receiving some form of social aid, such as non-cash food assistance (BPNT) or other forms of aids under the Family Hope Program (PKH), when it recently updated its Integrated Data for Social Welfare (DTKS) database of poor and vulnerable families.

Minister Juliari named suspect in COVID-19 aid graft case
Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chairman Firli Bahuri said during a press conference on Sunday morning that Juliari, along with his subordinates Matheus Joko Santoso and Adi Wahyono, had purportedly accepted roughly Rp 12 billion (US$582,020) in bribes from a number of suppliers during the first wave of the ministry’s aid distribution earlier this year.

After a meeting with Social Affairs Minister Juliari Batubara on Wednesday, KPK commissioner Lili Pantauli Siregar said that improving recipients’ data validation process was important as the antigraft agency had received 1,074 complaints related to social aid distribution as of Sept. 4.

House, govt set to revise disaster law in light of pandemic
According to the draft bill, a copy of which was obtained by The Jakarta Post, the revision includes a provision that requires the funds allocated for disaster management to amount to 2 percent of the annual state budget.
