unia Baru, a 51-meter-long phinisi-style superyacht, was named Best Asia-based Charter Company at the 2018 Asia Boating Awards.

Announced on April 11 at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove in Singapore, the awards, hosted by the Asia-Pacific Boating and China Boating magazines, celebrated the best of the superyacht industry in Asia.

Dunia Baru bested five other Asia-based charter companies in terms of service quality, influence in introducing high-quality charter services to Asia's new cruising areas and promotion of Asian boating destinations.

Dunia Baru owner Mark Robba said in a press release, “We are so proud to be presented with this award and to be recognized for taking the charter experience to the next level in Asia."

”This part of the world is unmatched in its beauty, variety and possibility for unforgettable adventures. This year, Dunia Baru is set to cruise to Komodo Island in East Nusa Tenggara, the Banda Sea, Raja Ampat and Papua.

The superyacht would also embark on a charitable project in Raja Ampat, building a library and eco-education center on one of its islands. (jes/kes)
