opular educational tourist destination the Jakarta Planetarium and Observatory in Taman Ismail Marzuki, Cikini, Central Jakarta, is closed to visitors from May 25 to June 21.

Offering popular attractions like the Teater Bintang (Star Theater) show and Astronomy Exhibition, the Planetarium is a popular site for visitors on weekends and holidays.

The Planetarium's head of technical publication and show executive division, Eko Wahyu Wibowo, told kompas.com that the management was currently fumigating the building to improve the visitor experience.

"All activities are prohibited in the area. Even our office has been relocated to the Teater Jakarta building," said Eko.

Since opening, this is the first time the Planetarium has been fumigated. In the future, the management plans to fumigate once every three years. (kes)
