n an effort to promote heritage protection and cultural exchange, Airbnb is set to host the first-ever overnight stay at the Great Wall of China in September.

Partnering with the Beijing Tourism Development Committee, four people and their guests can win this attractive opportunity to stay at the pop-up room between Sept. 4 and 8.

The room itself is perched atop an open-air watchtower and offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.

According to The Telegraph, each stay will include a multi-course gourmet dinner and a traditional Chinese music show. Guests will also embark on a guided sunrise hike through the countryside as well as learning Chinese seal-engraving and calligraphy.

For a chance at winning, entrants must enter Airbnb’s online competition and answer the following questions: Why is it more important now than ever to break down barriers between cultures? How would you want to build new connections? Entries close on Aug. 11.

During the stay, guests will also have to adhere to strict house rules, such as respecting their 1.38 billion neighbors and refraining from disturbing ancient wall guards with loud music.

Built over 2,000 years ago, The Great Wall of China is a series of stone fortifications and considered to be one of the greatest architectural feats in history. (anm/kes)
