“You’ve probably heard of me. People say I’m mysterious, but the truth is I’m very friendly,” Mona Lisa "introduces" herself at an Airbnb microsite for a contest named "Win a night at the Louvre".

The contest, a partnership between Airbnb and the Louvre Museum, is being held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the museum’s glass pyramid designed by IM Pei. According to the microsite, the contest winner and his or her guest will be granted a one-night stay beneath the pyramid, as well as a VIP guided after-hours museum tour, dinner with the Venus de Milo and a private acoustic concert at Napoleon III’s apartments.

Those who have Airbnb accounts are eligible to enter the contest, and entries must be submitted by April 12 at the latest. Aside from giving their name, phone number and email address, entrants will be required to explain why they would be Mona Lisa’s perfect guest.

The winner will enjoy the prize on April 30. Following a series of exclusive activities at the museum, the winner and his or her guest will eventually sleep "inside a glamorous bright white tent designed to resemble the Louvre's pyramid", reported CNN.

CNN also reported that prior to this contest, Airbnb launched a similar one in 2018 in which people could win a sleepover at the Great Wall of China. However, the contest was canceled over public concerns that the sleepover might damage the monument.

Art lovers, let’s be hopeful that "Win a night at the Louvre" is a successful contest. As Mona Lisa has "said" that if you’re the lucky winner, she will be delighted to welcome you to her home.
