As reported by Antara, the maiden flight that took off from El Tari Airport in Kupang to Nicolau Lobatu Airport in Dili on Friday morning was attended by TransNusa owner Leo Budiman and CEO Risnandi Saepurahman.

The service is available twice a week every Monday and Friday using a ATR 72-600 plane that can accommodate 78 passengers.
“This international route is a breath of fresh air for the aviation industry,” said El Tari Airport general manager Barata Singgih Riwahono, adding that other airlines should also consider expanding their routes to more provinces to support local economies throughout the country. (gis/kes)
