National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia introduced its new boarding pass on Wednesday, which boasts a new design and features.
According to a statement received by The Jakarta Post on Wednesday, the new boarding pass aims to provide "a more interactive flight experience with various added value offers".

Garuda Indonesia president director Ari Askhara said in the statement that the product was also part of the company's efforts to improve the digital experience of its services, with millennials, in particular, in mind.
"Through this launch, we offer an effective alternative and simplicity for all our partners to promote their companies to the more than 2 million passengers we cater to every month," he added.
The boarding pass will have a QR code on the back that when scanned will take passengers to a list of merchants that are members of the airline's Boarding Pass True Value program. Among the offers are up to 60 percent discounts at over 1,500 merchants, which include hotels, spa parlors and culinary and lifestyle service providers in more than 50 cities across the world.
