A special light show at 1 a.m. makes it the best time to visit the Eiffel Tower.
taying awake until 1 a.m. may be no easy feat for some, but according to HuffPost, it’s the most spectacular time to see the Eiffel Tower.
Some 7 million visitors are impressed by the landmark annually, with many tourists visiting Paris solely to see the “Iron Lady”. While many choose to visit the Eiffel Tower throughout the day, HuffPost says there is something particularly magnificent about visiting the icon at 1 a.m.

As the sun sets over Paris, 20,000 glimmering lights dance over the tower, with a display occurring every hour on the hour. At 1 a.m., the last act for the nightly show occurs and it’s just as outstanding as you could hope.
A spectacle of flashing lights is contrasted against the stark night sky as the tower’s main lights are shut off. The display, emulating a series of carefully placed fireworks, refracts through the city; putting on a show for anyone willing to watch. While the finale only lasts five minutes, viewers can expect to feel dazzled.
While tourists have shared their videos of the display, they are no match for seeing it in person. So, if ever you find yourself in Paris, ensure the Eiffel Tower’s 1 a.m. light show is on your itinerary. (mad/wng)
