Jokowi wants quick implementation of G20 deals
Speaking in a Cabinet meeting on Monday, Jokowi said the planned task forces would be crucial to start work on projects under the bilateral and multilateral arrangements.

President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has ordered the formation of task forces to expedite the implementation of deals struck at the Group of 20 Leaders’ Summit earlier this month.
Speaking in a Cabinet meeting on Monday, Jokowi said the planned task forces would be crucial to start work on projects under the bilateral and multilateral arrangements.
"One of the most important things to follow up on is the setting up of these task forces to implement these deals," Jokowi said.
Jokowi said that there were hundreds of deals struck at the G20 Summit worth billions of dollars.
"There are at least 226 multilateral projects worth US$238 billion and 140 bilateral projects worth $71.4 billion. I just want to make sure that all of these initiatives can be executed promptly," Jokowi said.
He said that some of the projects included the MRT project involving investment from Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom, the trans-Sumatra toll road with funding from Turkey and some infrastructure projects funded by the United States government.
On Nov. 16, the G20 unanimously adopted a declaration saying most members condemned the war in Ukraine.
"Most members strongly condemned the war in Ukraine," the leaders said in their declaration, signaling that Russia, which is a member of the G20, opposed the wording.
The leaders of the world's biggest economies also agreed to pace interest-rate rises carefully to avoid spillovers and warned of "increased volatility" in currency moves.
