If the bill is passed, it will have the impact of weakening women’s bodily autonomy, limit their access to education, cultural, political and economic resources, and worsen the quality of their life in general.

o you remember United States President Donald Trump’s infamous “grab ‘em by the pussy” moment? Unbelievably disgusting! Degrading too, both to women and to himself, exposing the vile, debased creature that he is. Ugh! It’s more than just a yeuw! moment. It’s sexual assault.

The incident happened on Oct. 7, 2016, during the presidential election. Trump was elected anyway and became head of government and head of state. Unbelievable!

In Indonesia, we are also now in danger of having our pussies and penises grabbed by the state, if the Family Resilience Bill is passed.

What? No voyeurism, exhibitionism, fetishism, pedophilia, transvestitism or frotteurism? Disappointing! What about sexual fantasies? Will they also be legislated?

And was incest included because a PKS legislative candidate in West Sumatra sexually abused his daughter for seven years since she was 10? He was also an ulema (religious scholar — really?) and an imam for his mosque. PKS should punish him, not the whole nation!
