Microsoft to help boost innovation by Sinar Mas Land in BSD City

iving Lab Ventures (LLV) reiterates its commitment to support the development of startups in Indonesia by partnering with Microsoft as a technology-solution provider for startups. The collaboration is done under the Living Lab X project.
"Startups are one of the main drivers of Indonesia's digital economy, and it is our duty to help domestic startups grow and develop. We are proud to be collaborating with LLV and Sinar Mas Land to accelerate Indonesian digital startups through the use of Microsoft's cloud ecosystem. We hope that this collaboration can encourage more startups to take off to emphasize Indonesia's innovation power and promote Indonesia's vision as a country with a leading digital economy in Southeast Asia," said Edy Susanto as the director of Cloud and Enterprise of Microsoft Indonesia.
As an example of how the collaboration could elevate the assist startups, by utilizing Microsoft Azure cloud-computing technology, startups can take advantage of features such as Azure DevOps Services to develop their platforms and applications with code quickly, as well as Azure Cognitive Services and AI Services which can be installed immediately when startups want to add features to their digital solutions.
Developers will receive notifications if there are patches or upgrades needed from a security perspective. Moreover, Bayu Seto, a partner of LLV, pointed out that using the Microsoft platform to deliver new technologies can add value to stakeholders, and benefits technology projects of startups that are currently being incubated for BSD City. It is expected that the innovation from the partnership can be applied to transform cities into the future, starting with BSD City as the first in Indonesia.
“Living Lab Ventures through the Living Lab X project is expected to provide digital-based solutions to answer the needs in BSD City as the flagship development of Sinar Mas Land. LLV has a unique feature, namely Living Lab X as a forum for exploration and validation of proposed solutions by involving residents, students, employees and commuters of BSD City. The solution with the best performance can then be applied to other townships. With all this uniqueness, we are proud that Living Lab Ventures can collaborate with Microsoft to realize the development of these digital-based solutions,” said Mulyawan Gani, chief transformation officer of Sinar Mas Land.
Mulyawan, accompanied by Bayu and other executives, recently paid a visit to the Microsoft Experience Center in Silicon Valley in the United States, to exchange experiences regarding the acceleration of digitalization of startups from various countries took place. This provides LLV and Sinar Mas Land with new references on steps that can be taken to continue to contribute to the development of Indonesian startups.
LLV focuses on three main technology aspects: Smart Technologies, Digital Life and Mobility. Smart Technologies focuses on innovative technologies that support smart-urban living. This technology is closely related to aspects of Digital Life which focus on technology related to e-commerce and social networking that have an impact on social life. Lastly, Mobility focuses on smart technology in the movement of people and goods within the city. LLV acts as an “investment arm” under Sinar Mas Land.
