oday, Indonesian Masters announced that the biggest and most successful golf tournament in Indonesia has garnered significant support from two Indonesian companies, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., or BNI, and Tunas Niaga Energi. BNI reiterates its commitment to Indonesian Masters, which is manifested by its willingness to become the main sponsor of this year's biggest golf event in the country.

Other than BNI, Tunas Niaga Energi (TNE), a company in the sector of energy logistic provider also offers support as a presenting sponsor. TNE began to be actively involved in the development of national golf. Previously, TNE became the main sponsor of a professional golf tournament of the Asian Development Tour, a secondary circuit under the Asian Tour, in June.

“We are very grateful to BNI and Tunas Niaga Energi (TNE) for being willing to be the main sponsor and presenting sponsor in this year's Indonesian Masters tournament. The combination of BNI's large corporate profile with its reputation in the national golf community and TNE which is now starting to play an active role in the development of national golf together is one of the tournament's efforts to achieve its goal as a tournament that offers high-quality entertainment both on and off the golf course,” said Jimmy Masrin, Founder of the Indonesian Masters and Chair of the Asian Tour.

BNI Indonesian Masters Presented by TNE will take place on December 1 through 4 at Royale Jakarta Golf Club, which will be a host for the tournament for the tenth time. This year, the BNI Indonesian Masters Presented by TNE is made more prestigious because there has been an increase in prizes, from a total prize of US$750,000 to US$1,500,000. The increase of the BNI Indonesian Masters Presented by TNE is indeed inseparable from the status of the tournament as part of a series of tournament series titled “International Series” this season.

Director of Human Capital & Compliance BNI Mucharom said that the Indonesian Masters as a professional golf tournament for nine years in a row has become a pretty good branding in the world of national sports.

BNI is also proud of the opportunity given to continuously contribute to the implementation of one of the premium Asian Tour tournaments, which is also part of this year's International Series.

"Our hope is that the Indonesian Masters can become the most successful Indonesian pride tournament in the upcoming December," he said.

Mucharom continued that the increase in prizes at the Indonesian Masters indicates that this event is one of the most important events this year in the Asian Tour series.

"This is of course also a very interesting fact that the Indonesian Masters has made a special contribution to the development of golf in the Asian continent, and in particular Indonesia," he said.

The support of BNI Indonesian Masters 2022 Presented by TNE was also echoed by Tunas Niaga Energi as presenting sponsor.

“We see that the Indonesian Masters have become part of the national golf history for the last 12 years. Our participation in holding the Indonesian Masters this time is parallel with TNE's desire to be active in the development of national golf. The Indonesian Masters is the right medium for our national golfers to be able to compete closely with international golfers, and of course it will be history in itself when our players can make good achievements at the Indonesian Masters," said Jubilant Harmidy, Chairman of Tunas Niaga Energi.

The presence of the two sponsors gave a new name for Indonesian Masters that will be used to hold the 10th edition this year, which is the BNI Indonesian Masters presented by TNE. This upcoming December, BNI Indonesian Masters presented by TNE will be followed by elite golfers from Asian Tour and internationally, as well as the best players from the host country, who will compete for a total prize of US$1,500,000.

This year's BNI Indonesian Masters presented by TNE will be attended by Indonesian Masters champions in previous years such as Lee Westwood (former World No. 1 golfer and Indonesian Masters champion 2011, 2012 and 2015), Bernd Wiesberger (2013 Indonesian Masters champion), Anirban Lahiri (2014 Indonesian Masters winner), Poom Saksansin (2016 and 2018 Indonesian Masters winner), and Jazz Janewattananond (2019 Indonesian Masters winner). In addition, this year's tournament will also be attended by various world golfers including 2010 US Open major champion Graeme McDowell and LIV Golf golfer Chase Koepka, who also stated their commitment to participate in this competition.

The BNI Indonesian Masters tournament presented by Tunas Niaga Energi will be broadcast live across Asia via the TV platform of the Asian Tour, which is expected to be watched by more than 750 million families in more than 200 countries and will showcase Indonesia as the world's golf destination to the international community.
