n the midst of uneven distribution of fifth-generation (5G) networks in Indonesia, XL Axiata and Telkomsel have emerged as cellular operators in the competition to provide the most reliable internet speed in the country, a new study from Opensignal shows.
The study, titled “Mobile Network Experience Report December 2022”, analyzed the overall mobile network experience of users in Indonesia across five operators, namely Tri, Indosat, Smartfren, Telkomsel and XL, over a 90-day period starting Aug. 1 this year.
The London-based analytics company, specializing in quantifying the mobile network experience, also examined network users' mobile network experiences in 10 key regions in Indonesia. The analysis used 5G measurements in addition to measurements of older mobile network technologies when determining the overall score for each category.
