Wuling unveils latest SUV, the New Almaz RS, at GIIAS 2023

a href="https://wuling.id/id/almaz/new-almaz-rs" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Wuling Motors officially unveiled the newest addition to its vehicle lineup, a new medium SUV called the New Almaz RS, at the 30th annual Gaikindo Indonesia International Automotive Showcase on Thursday.
The SUV was the spotlight of Wuling’s booth at the event. Showcasing a refreshing redesign for both its exterior and interior, visitors were able to directly experience this new iteration of the New Almaz RS and pre-book on the spot.
Brand and marketing director of Wuling Motors, Dian Asmahani, said, "The journey of the Almaz series, which began in February 2019 in Indonesia, has been marked by a warm reception from consumers, good sales and numerous prestigious awards. Continuing Wuling's commitment to constantly innovating, we have applied a fresh touch to the medium SUV that offers complete innovation to meet consumers' needs for modern mobility and a limitless driving experience."
Delving deeper into the updates found in its exterior and interior, the New Almaz RS maintains the modern and futuristic aesthetic of its previous version but adds a new glossy black front bumper and grille. Additionally, the rear bumper has been retouched with a new, more sophisticated Wuling emblem, replacing the old logo found on the preceding Almaz. The new Wuling SUV is also equipped with 18-inch wheels that come with an updated sporty rim design.
Moving on to the cabin, the New Almaz RS features a new interior style that utilizes classy carbon black interior finishings. The seven-seater SUV also provides each passenger seat premium wrappings of elegant synthetic leather, alongside a futuristic soft-touch colored panel on its dashboard with new fittings of multicolor ambience lights in several locations within the cabin. The Panoramic Sunroof found on the preceding model also makes a return, giving more options for passengers. Furthermore, The New Almaz RS comes with a tilt and telescopic steering wheel that allows drivers to adjust the position of the wheel to their preference.
As for the technology aspects of the SUV, Wuling continues to create modern innovations, continuing its efforts since it first introduced its medium SUV for Indonesia in 2019. The New Almaz RS is equipped with WIND (Wuling Indonesian Command) an advanced voice command feature which enables users to easily access various vehicle settings. Additionally, the new SUV is also compatible with the Wuling Remote Control App, which can connect users with their SUV to monitor and access vehicle controls via the MyWuling+ and Head Unit apps. It is also worth mentioning that Wuling has made developments in its driving experience offerings. The New Almaz RS is supported by the ADAS system, which consists of four different category functions: adaptive cruise, lane recognition, safe distance and braking assistance and automatic light, totaling 12 safety support features while driving.
The Wuling New Almaz RS makes its debut with two variants, the 1,500 cc turbocharged engine with a smooth and responsive CVT transmission for the New Almaz RS Pro and the 2,000 cc hybrid engine with Dedicated Hybrid Transmission that delivers high performance and efficiency for the New Almaz RS Hybrid. The discernable difference between them are the slight blue accents on the front grille and the placement of the hybrid logo on the rear door of the 2,000 cc variant.
Dian Asmahani further elaborated on the release of the New Almaz RS, stating, "Today, we are also opening orders for visitors interested in this smart medium SUV with a new look. As for the price range of the New Almaz RS, it is no more than the on-the-road prices of the current Almaz RS and Almaz Hybrid, which are Rp 439,200,000 and Rp 472,000,000 respectively. This pre-booking period will continue until the early fourth quarter of 2023."
The debut appearance of the Wuling New Almaz RS can be seen at booth 9B, Hall 9, Indonesia Convention and Exhibition (ICE) BSD City until Aug. 20. During the GIIAS exhibit, visitors who wish to purchase the New Almaz RS can receive a Rp 5,000,000 bonus with a booking fee of Rp 5,000,000, terms and conditions.
Additionally, any purchases made during GIIAS can reward visitors with event exclusive promotions such as the chance to receive 1 gram of gold*, a Wuling Air ev charging device (with a discount from Rp 16,000,000 to Rp 5,000,000 for OCPP devices or free for Non-OCPP devices)*, and a grand prize of a Wuling Air ev*.
Visitors can directly view the exterior and interior of the New Almaz RS, along with other Wuling product lines, and enjoy various exciting programs available during the exhibition.
