oggers and families out enjoying Jakarta’s Car Free Day received a jovial addition to their morning activities with a concert to enliven the day and commemorate the 67th anniversary of Astra.
As part of the celebrations, Astra has called on fellow Indonesians to find their drive and momentum through a public concert filled with festivities to boost up a cloudy day.
Though its anniversary fell on Feb. 20, Astra chose to celebrate with Jakartans enjoying the Car Free Day on Sunday morning, inviting musical group GAC to perform at the Bundaran HI Astra Transjakarta bus station.
The concert took the theme of “Temukan Semangat Barumu” (“Find Your New Spirit”), in line with Astra’s commitment to support the Indonesian creative industry by collaborating with local artists and creators alike.
Alongside the concert, Astra also invited Bali-based artist Yessiow to provide a facelift to the Bundaran HI Astra Transjakarta station, showcasing an illustration portraying Astra’s spirit across all sides of the station.
The celebrations are part of a wider set of activities surrounding Astra’s 67th anniversary, which aimed to convey a central message of “Astra untuk Hari ini dan Masa Depan Indonesia” (“Astra for Today and the Future of Indonesia”)
“Throughout the 67 years Astra has grown alongside the Indonesian people, Astra has constantly nurtured innovation and collaboration to contribute to every step of the nation’s journey. It is hoped that this cross-discipline collaboration with the creative industry can inspire progress for the present and future of Indonesia,” says Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Riza Deliansyah.
Astra’s spirit in supporting Indonesia’s present and future progress is in line with the company’s aspirations to flourish and prosper alongside the nation, as well as support Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
