Indonesia's Multivision Plus sets sights on Latin America, Europe

ilm production company PT Tripar Multivision Plus (MVP) has announced plans to expand its film distribution services beyond Southeast Asia to Latin America and Europe, after developing its business in Australia, Pakistan, Russia and Turkey.

“Our next target is to enter Latin America and other European countries,” finance director Vikas Chand Sharma said on Wednesday, as quoted by Bisnis.com,

He added the company was now focusing on market expansion and development.

“With a trusted track record in Southeast Asia and elsewhere, we are targeting additional markets for development opportunities to ensure our content reaches viewers from all over the world,” Sharma said.

MVP corporate secretary Sugiri said the company had expanded its reach to over 15 foreign countries so far, including Southeast Asian neighbors Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong in East Asia, Pakistan in South Asia and Turkey and Russia in Europe.

Sugiri added that at home, MVP had established Platinum Cineplex, a movie theater chain managed by subsidiary PT Platinum Sinema, in 13 locations across Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi.

Platinum Cineplex is available in Batang, Cimanggis, Kebumen, Magelang, Majenang, Sidoarjo, Sragen and Surakarta on Java, in Baturaja and Lahat on Sumatra, Pangkalanbun in Central Kalimantan and Palopo and Kolaka on Sulawesi.
