anging Gardens International (HGI), the company behind the luxurious resorts of Hanging Gardens of Bali, Nandini Jungle Resort & Spa and Elevate Bali, is bringing a new kind of adventure to the island, this time in the form of a meal.
The Wondrous Seventeen is described as “a wonderful epicurean journey” through seven courses, for 170 minutes, and 17 days, led by Chef Ridwan Hakim and guest Chef Florian Neubauer. After all, there really isn’t a better way to mark the 17th anniversary of Hanging Gardens of Bali than with a culinary adventure like no other.
Chef Ridwan has invited Chef Florian Neubauer, a master in his own right with 2 Michelin stars from his extensive experience. They will be joined by Josef Sukuf, all the way from After Seven Restaurant in Zermatt.
The collaboration will treat guests to an immersive display of seven delicacies, which will be savored in 170 minutes, which sets a unique, unparalleled experience and allows for an everlasting, once-in-a-lifetime experience. The delicacies will showcase the perfect balance between savory and sweet, which will challenge even those with the most daring of palates, and will keep guests on their toes for what’s to come next.
By using seasonal, local and specifically sourced produce and incorporating flavors from the amuse bouche to petit fours, they aim to take diners on an unforgettable experience. The degustation menu will include chicken liver and amaranth as amuse bouche items, leek for the salad, a choice of pulpo or chorizo for the seafood, along with the catch of the day. For those who are not fans of seafood, there will also be duck and lamb. The petit fours will feature coconut, a fruit that some might deem necessary to have when in the tropical heaven that is Bali.
The adventure is open to everyone, starting from Thursday, and will last for 17 days only at all HGI properties. Hanging Gardens of Bali and Nandini Jungle Resort & Spa will serve the seven-course dinner from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., while Elevate Bali will serve the meal as lunch from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. At the Hanging Gardens of Bali, the meal will start at Rp 2,100,000++ per person, while the other two places will be priced at Rp 1,700,000++ per person.
