his May, B/NDL Studios launched the Knowledge Series in partnership with Indonesia’s leading English media, The Jakarta Post. Created to provide practical knowledge and insightful learning for working professionals, the first event of the series was their Visual Storytelling for Non-Designers workshop webinar, which was held on May 16th. Joined by over 80 participants, the event was a resounding success. Many participants engaged in the interactive program sessions and activities, providing them an opportunity to learn about the importance of visual storytelling and techniques to create engaging visual content.
Additionally, B/NDL Studios also collaborated with Piktochart as a copartner for their first event. An all-in-one visual communication tool that can empower professionals to communicate impactful visuals, Piktochart provided invaluable contributions to the success of the event.
Aside from educational workshop activities, the first Knowledge Series brought along the head of Communication Design at Piktochart, Natasya Sunarto, as a guest speaker. During the event, Natasya shared her insight as an experienced communication designer with over 10 years of experience, with a particular mastery in creating engaging visual content for various industries and her dedication to honing Piktochart into the best web-based information design tool for the global market.
Overall, the event covered the various key aspects of visual storytelling, which include the importance of story, the use of clever design elements and the creation of engaging visual content. Participants were also taught design theories, such as the use of color, typography and imagery to enhance visual storytelling, and a few techniques for creating effective visual stories without design experience.
The Knowledge Series is playing a crucial role in providing practical knowledge and insightful learning for working professionals. Continued learning and professional development is integral for success in today’s dynamic and competitive work environment, and based on the enthusiasm and engagement of the participants in the first-ever Knowledge Series, the program is an excellent platform for achieving this goal.
With a follow-up free event scheduled for June that has only limited slots available and requires registration, this series is shaping up to be an insightful, valuable experience for working professionals.
