The Manpower Ministry has found that 782 companies have failed to pay their employees’ THR.
he Manpower Ministry has received thousands of complaints, involving hundreds of companies, from employees about their employers failing to pay holiday bonuses (THR).
As of Friday, the THR Command Post (Posko), formed by the Manpower Ministry earlier last month, had received a total of 5,148 reports from workers, with 2,746, some 53 percent, being complaints that were reported, and the remaining 2,402 through consultation.
The Manpower Ministry concluded from 1,277 reports that 782 companies had failed to pay their employees’ THR.
About 1,140 workers from 635 companies reported that they received a holiday bonus that was not in accordance with the provisions. While 338 workers from 186 companies experienced delays in receiving the bonus.
Ministry Secretary-General Anwar Sanusi said it had responded to 1,620 of the 2,402 online consultation requests, with the remaining 782 reports still in progress.
"We will respond to 100 percent of the reports," Anwar said on Saturday as quoted by Tempo.
According to the THR Posko data, Jakarta was the province with the highest number of reports, with 582 requests for consultations and 876 complaints.
