Presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo has pledged to prioritize the development of the 3T regions amid the construction of the new capital, Nusantara.
Despite the ongoing Nusantara capital city megaproject, presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo pledged on Thursday to prioritize the development of frontier, outermost and least developed (3T) regions.
“Why did we visit the 3T regions first? Because there are some deliberations and affirmations to do,” he said at the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) View Tower in East Kalimantan, as reported by Liputan6.
Ganjar said his vision to prioritize the 3T regions aligned with vice presidential candidate Mahfud MD’s, as demonstrated by their visits to said regions at the beginning of the campaign period.
“Well, why did I start from Merauke and Mahfud from Sabang? Then on to East Nusa Tenggara? To see, hear and feel directly, because it is a priority,” he said.
Ganjar further guaranteed that funding from the State Budget (APBN) would not be solely allocated for the construction of the new capital.
“We cannot think as if the state money, the APBN, will be used up here only, no,” Ganjar said.
“Because this requires a measured process and planning that has been prepared, the areas that need assistance should not be left out.”
