Indonesia Decides

The country’s presidential candidates will face off for a second time in the third electoral debate of the campaign season. They will address questions on defense, security, international relations and geopolitics.

Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto, who is also defense minister, is “physically” prepared for the third presidential debate, according to his campaign team’s deputy chief, Ahmad Muzani.

Former Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said he received input from his campaign team to prepare for the debate.

Anies Baswedan, the former governor of Jakarta and a former education minister, said he had prepared by reading books related to the debate’s themes and discussing the issues with other political figures.

In the first debate, the three candidates tackled the hot-button issues of law, corruption, human rights, democracy and governance.
