Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD campaign team has introduced its "KTP Sakti" program, which is an integrated ID system for Indonesian citizens. With this program, people will only need their ID card to access various social services and benefits.
The head of the national campaign team for Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, Arsjad Rasjid, has expressed his disapproval of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo's social assistance (Bansos) distribution, saying that it is off-target and involves too many forms of ID.
Currently, Indonesians do not have a single card that integrates all the social assistance programs they can access. Instead, they have to use different cards for different programs, such as the Indonesian Smart Card (KIP), Farmers Card (Kartu Tani) and Indonesian Health Card (KIS).
During a meeting with volunteers in Palembang, South Sumatra, on Friday, Arsjad recalled his experience of meeting farmers. The farmers complained to Arsjad about their difficulties in obtaining cheap fertilizer. Arsjad said they could not get the fertilizer subsidy even though they already had a Farmers Card.
“Why? Because first, it is not on target. There are still many who have not received it, and even more, who are still confused, as there are too many IDs,” Arsjad said, as quoted by Kompas.com.
Arsjad denied rumors that Ganjar-Mahfud would stop social assistance if elected in 2024. On the contrary, according to Arsjad, the presidential ticket would improve the social assistance program, ensuring that it is on target, by introducing the “KTP Sakti” (invincible ID card).
The KTP Sakti program is an integrated ID system for Indonesian citizens. With this program, people will only need their ID card to access various social services and benefits.
