Passengers riding the Greater Jakarta LRT during the long weekend holiday period in February increased by 11 percent, reaching 122,671 passengers.
he Greater Jakarta LRT recorded increased passenger numbers by 11 percent during the Isra Miraj and Luna New Year long weekend on Feb. 8-11.
Public relations manager Mahendro Trang Bawono said the total number of passengers during the holiday period reached 122,671, with an average daily passenger figure of 30,668.
The number is higher than the daily average on the weekend of Feb. 3-4, which was 27,476 passengers.
Mahendro said the higher passenger numbers during the long holiday were because many people used the LRT to visit tourist attractions and entertainment spots.
“It also means that many people have started to trust the LRT as their preferred transportation mode, especially during long holidays,” he said as quoted by kompas.com.
“This is associated with the trend where the number of users continues to increase."
Mahendro said the Greater Jakarta LRT was committed to maintaining the highest service and safety standards to encourage more people to use the service.
