nvestigators of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have questioned Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono as a witness in a corruption case pertaining to state-owned telecommunication firm PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom Group).

Speaking to reporters after his questioning on Friday, which lasted around two and a half hours, Sakti said he had told investigators all he knew about the alleged corruption that occurred between 2017 and 2022 involving procurements related to a data center project.

“It happened between 2017 and 2018. I told investigators what I know, and I didn’t tell them what I don’t know,” the minister said, as quoted by Kompas.id.

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahadhika Sugiarto confirmed that Sakti had been questioned as part of the antigraft body’s probe into alleged corruption at Telkom Group, specifically concerning aspects of his role as a commissioner of the state-owned enterprise (SOE) in 2017-2018.

“We asked him about the procurement process at Telkom, how it [was managed], and tracking the flow of money,” he told reporters on Friday.

Tessa said KPK investigators also asked about the illicit money Sakti allegedly received and how he had spent it.
