aesang Pangarep, the chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) and the youngest son of outgoing President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, was seen on Tuesday wearing a vest emblazoned with the slogan “Putra Mulyono” (Son of Mulyono) in Banten, provoking a fresh round of criticism of the First Family among people online.
The name Mulyono is a reference to Jokowi’s birth name and has been used by netizens to express their disappointment with the President following a popular backlash against attempts to allow Kaesang to run for public office in November despite his being not eligible on age grounds.
Wearing the black vest with the slogan and a silhouette of a man depicting Jokowi printed in pink on the back of the vest, Kaesang greeted people during a blusukan (impromptu visit) in Tangerang regency, Banten, on Tuesday. He was seen handing out free milk and notebooks to residents there, Kompas.com reported.
People across different social media platforms were quick to criticize Kaesang for his fashion statement.

Several netizens claimed that Kaesang was mocking people who had scrutinized his lavish trip on a private jet to the United States last month, even as protests spread nationwide against maneuvers by those in power to bend the regional elections law in his favor. Others said he was jeering at people who had accused his father of abusing his power to solidify his political dynasty.
“Have you no shame, Kaesang?” asked users on X.
