Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and United States Representative to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield are among the dozens of foreign representatives slated to attend the inauguration of president-elect Prabowo Subianto and vice president-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Jakarta on Oct. 20.

Chinese Vice President Han Zheng will come to the Sunday ceremony on behalf of President Xi Jinping, Chinese Foreign Minister spokesperson Mao Ning said in a statement on Friday. He will arrive in Jakarta on Saturday afternoon and is expected to stay in the city until Monday before leaving for Brunei Darussalam.
From the United States, a delegation representing President Joe Biden will attend the ceremony, led by US Representative to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the White House said in a statement last Friday.
The presidential delegation will also include US Ambassador to Indonesia Kamala Shirin Lakhdir; Adm. Samuel Paparo, the commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command; and Don Graves, deputy secretary of commerce, among other members.
In addition to the representatives from China and the US, leaders and delegates from other countries are expected to land in Jakarta from Friday. They will land at either the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta or Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten.
Russian delegates will comprise Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, who is expected to arrive in Jakarta by Saturday, and several senators.
Other countries include several ASEAN member states such as Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines, as well as South Korea, Qatar and Germany.
