he Cirebon Police are investigating a group of people suspected to have conducted an unauthorized raid against Nasi Padang (Minang-style rice and side dishes) restaurants in the West Java city.

Videos of the incident went viral on social media such as X and Instagram, which depicted a group of men arguing in front of a small Nasi Padang restaurant that offered a budget meal deal.

Nasi Padang restaurants in Greater Jakarta and other cities on Java are wide ranging from high-end restaurants to small warung (food stalls) that offer a budget meal deal of rice with side dishes priced as low as Rp 10,000 (US$0.64).
