United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based business-to-business (B2B) fair, International Design Exhibition (INDEX), is set to take place from Oct. 5-8 next year at the Jakarta Convention Center in South Jakarta.

The event will showcase nine interior design categories, which includes kitchen and bathroom, lighting, furniture and furnishing, textiles, bedroom, house decoration, room designs and and wall decor.

“We are very enthusiastic about bringing INDEX to the Indonesian market with its increase in middle class incomes and promising growth in the hotel sector,” vice president of DMG Events Design and Hospitality, Andy Stuart said.

INDEX considers the growth in Indonesia’s hotel industry as an opportunity to further develop its interior design business in the Southeast Asian region.

The exhibition will be held in conjunction with MOZAIK Houseware & Gift Show, a B2B fair that focuses on houseware and souvenirs.

INDEX has been held annually in Dubai for 26 years and claims to be a hub for the interior design community in the Middle East. The exhibition featured up to 800 exhibitors, 19 country pavilions and 34,400 visitors from 110 countries during its previous event in Dubai back in May 2016. (kes)
