ollowing the overwhelming demand of their fans, US-based progressive-metal band Dream Theater is said to add a second show on Sept. 30 at a Yogyakarta music festival.

The band was previously scheduled to perform on Sept. 29 at the JogjaRockarta International Music Festival that will take place in Kridosono Stadium.

“The sales in Indonesia have been exceptional and the band has agreed to add a second show due to the overwhelming demand,” read the official statement on Dream Theater's Facebook account. “These will be the only two shows in Indonesia. This is your only chance to see Dream Theater in Indonesia.”

The band’s performance in Yogyakarta is part of their Images, Words & Beyond – 25th Anniversary Tour where they are scheduled to visit other cities, such as Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Singapore, Bangkok in Thailand, Taipei in Taiwan and Quezon City in the Philippines.

“We invite this large-scale band [to perform in Yogyakarta to show] that Indonesia is safe; not only Jakarta but also Yogyakarta and other cities,” promoter Rajawali Indonesia Communication CEO Anas Syahrul Alimi told kompas.com.

Aside from Dream Theater, the JogjaRockarta International Music Festival will also feature God Bless, Death Vomit, Power Metal, Kelompok Penerbang Roket and Burgerkill.

Tickets to the show can be purchased via the event’s ticketing partner with prices starting at Rp 450,000 (US$33). (wir/kes)
