Museum MACAN
The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara (MACAN) has been consistently popular since its inaugural exhibition on November last year. It is currently hosting Yayoi Kusama: Life is the Heart of a Rainbow.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the entrance fee to the museum starts at Rp 100,000 for adults and Rp 80,000 for children. To marvel at Yayo Kusama’s artworks, it is best to buy tickets in advance via the museum’s website

Ice-skating rinks
Several malls in Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jadetabek) provide ice-skating facilities, and one of them is Sky Rink at Mall Taman Anggrek. Ticket prices start at Rp 85,000 from Monday to Friday and Rp 110,000 for two hours from Saturday to Sunday and national holidays.

Ever wanted to visit a wax museum but do not have time to fly abroad? You may want to go to Alive Museum and Alive Star in Ancol, North Jakarta. Among the figures that can be found at the museum are Steve Jobs, Will Smith, Jackie Chan, David Beckham and Britain’s Prince William as well as his wife Kate Middleton.

There are also 3D illusion paintings at Alive Museum where visitors can take selfies. It opens from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased online starting from Rp 60,000.
Taking place inside the Neo Soho mall in West Jakarta, Jakarta Aquarium allows its visitors to see over 14,000 animals in seawater, fresh water and on land. Visitors can expect to see mermaid performances and feeding time. Tickets can be booked online at Rp 95,000 for kids and Rp 150,000 for adults on weekdays and Rp 135,000 for kids and Rp 175,000 for adults on weekends.

Located at Pacific Place mall in South Jakarta, Kidzania is known as a theme park where kids can play roles inspired by professions in the real world. The theme park is divided into different sections, including an archaeological site, beauty salon, chiropractic center, courthouse, dubbing studio and fire station among others.

Operating from Monday to Sunday, ticket prices start at Rp 50,000 for kids under 3 years old and Rp 150,000 for adults from Monday to Friday and Rp 100,000 for kids under 3 years old and Rp 200,000 for adults from Saturday to Sunday. Tickets can be ordered online. (wir/wng)
