Tulus to enter Japanese market with ‘Natsu Wa Kinu'

The reception to the song in Japan has been positive, according to Tulus, who added that this is a strategic move to enter the Japanese market.

op singer Muhammad Tulus seeks to expand his music to Japan, following the release of his Japanese single entitled 'Natsu Wa Kinu'.
 
“A week ago I released a Japanese song called ‘Natsu Wa Kinu’. It is actually a well-known song in Japan, I sing it in my own version,” he said to Kompas.com on Friday. (https://entertainment.kompas.com/read/2018/12/22/153747210/lebarkan-sayap-tulus-rilis-lagu-berbahasa-jepang)
 
 
The reception to the song in Japan has been positive, according to Tulus, who added that this is a strategic move to enter the Japanese market. 
 
“I aim to go to Japan and sing Japanese songs to promote Indonesia. I want people who listen to Japanese music in Japan to also listen to Indonesian music,” he said.
 
Previously, Tulus translated one of his hits ‘Sepatu’ (Shoes) into ‘Kutsu’ in Japanese. The song is also being distributed in Japan. (asw)
