Marvel Studios’ runaway hit Avengers: Endgame will return to the silver screen in Indonesia on July 12.

Local theater chain CGV Cinemas recently posted on its official Twitter account that the record-breaking superhero blockbuster will be back in theaters by popular demand.

“Good news for all of you who have been waiting for the re-release of Avengers: Endgame in Indonesia. Starting from July 12, ‘Endgame’ will once again be playing at CGV,” the company wrote in the tweet.

Cinemaxx Theater also announced similar news, boasting that the flick would be screened across 26 theaters operated by the company.

The re-release of Endgame first kicked off on June 28 in select theaters across the United States. The film’s second theatrical run in the US, officially dubbed the "Bring Back event" by Marvel Studios, was attached with a few extras, including an unfinished deleted scene and a video introduction by director Anthony Russo.

It is currently unclear whether the Indonesian re-release of the film would feature any additional content.

According to Box Office Mojo, Avengers: Endgame raked in over US$2.7 billion worldwide by the end of its original theatrical run, making it the second highest-grossing film of all time after James Cameron’s Avatar. (rfa/kes)
