Fans took to social media to express their condolences and ask others to treat people with kindness as cruelty and hatred were considered to have become commonplace.

In May, Hara was hospitalized after her manager found her unconscious at home.
The pop star also worked as an actress, appearing in K-dramas including City Hunter and Secret Love. She was best friends with the late Sulli, a South Korean celebrity who died in October.
The world is so cruel to both of you but now you both decided to end the sufferings and rest in peace. You are free now from all the pain angels. You both rest in peace and both of you will always be remembered. đź’“#GooHara#Sulli pic.twitter.com/Ut03m0iBZd
