New series and movies, including Dracula and Ragnarok, will be available on Netflix come January.
etflix has announced a lineup of films and series slated for the beginning of 2020, ranging from thrilling adventures to romantic stories.
Below are five to look out for the days ahead.
1. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 3
The supernatural horror series Chilling Adventure of Sabrina will continue to explore how the teenage Sabrina Spellman deals with her dual-nature as half-witch and half-mortal. In this season, Sabrina will attempt to bring back her boyfriend Nicholas Scratch from the outer world while preventing the title of Queen from being taken by Caliban, the Prince of Hell.
The series will air on Jan. 24.
2. Dracula
From the creators of Sherlock, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, the series tells the story of the most famous vampire of all time: Count Dracula. Danish actor Claes Bang stars as the title character, and this Netflix Original series is promised to hold a note of melancholy along with its dark side.

3. Ragnarok
Another new Netflix Original series, Ragnarok combines Norse mythology and the devastating effects of climate change in a small, fictitious Norwegian town. Unless someone intervenes in time, the town will be driven to a Ragnarok, the battle at the end of the world.
The series will launch on Jan. 31.
4. Aruna & Lidahnya
Directed by Edwin, the movie tells the story of epidemiologist Aruna (Dian Sastrowardoyo) who is assigned to investigate bird flu cases in several parts of Indonesia. Accompanied by her friends, who are equally obsessed with food as she is, Aruna goes on adventures to discover food, friendship and romance along the way.
The movie won two Citra trophies at the 2018 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) for Best Supporting Actor (Nicholas Saputra) and Best Writing – Adapted Screenplay (Titien Wattimena).
The movie will premiere on Netflix on Jan. 1.
5. Sex Education
The second season of this Netflix Original series will see the how the awkward and beloved Otis figures out his new relationship with Ola, amid facing school days at Moordale Secondary.
Season 1 of the series was received warmly, praised for its heartfelt approach, comedic moments and breakout appearances of Ncuti Gatwa and Emma Mackey.
The series will return on Jan. 17. (wng)
