The OPPO x Jo Malone London collaborative package is available for pre-order until July 25.
Smartphone brand OPPO has collaborated with lifestyle brand Jo Malone London to launch a limited edition package.
Dubbed The Tale of Two Oranges, the package consists of a Tea Orange version of the OPPO Find X2 Pro, a 100 ml bottle of Jo Malone London’s Orange Bitters fragrance, a notebook, earphones, type-c cable, adapter, SIM ejecting tool, smartphone case, quick guide and warranty card.
OPPO Indonesia’s creative strategic communication head Livia Setyabrata said the collaboration presented a multisensory experience, including sight, sound and touch. The smartphone boasts a 120 Hertz ultra-high refresh rate and a screen that can display more than 1 billion colors for smooth transitions and a clear view, Dolby Atmos and dual stereo speakers, a fast-charging system and vegan leather back.
“Vegan leather is really comfortable to touch,” Livia said during a press conference on Tuesday. “It doesn’t leave any fingerprints.”
Furthermore, the smartphone is splash, dust and water resistant. It features processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB ROM, triple main camera (48 megapixel wide angle camera, 48 megapixel ultra-wide angle camera and 13 megapixel periscope telephoto camera) and a single 32 megapixel front camera. It supports 4K and Full HD (high-definition) resolutions.
The Tale of Two Oranges’ multisensory experience is added to with the scent of Orange Bitters. “For the fragrance’s top notes, we chose sweet orange and petitgrain which derived from leaves and branches of orange trees,” said education manager of Jo Malone London Prisiella Yessy. “For its heart notes, [we chose] bitter orange that would shape the scent.”
Prisiella added that orange scent was beneficial for improving someone’s mood and had a calming effect. “Orange Bitters offers a clash of sweet orange and a burst of ripe mandarin, finished with a splash of bitter orange to reveal rich prune and a base of sensual sandalwood and amber,” she said.
The package is available for pre-order on e-marketplace Blibli.com until July 25 with prices starting from Rp 17,999,000 (US$1,248.67). Customers who order the package will receive limited edition wallpapers and relaxing original music.
OPPO launched the Find X2 Pro and Find X2 in March with several improvements from its predecessor, the Find X, which was released in 2018, according to kompas.com. Market research institute Canalys stated that the smartphone manufacturer was named Indonesia’s smartphone king in the second quarter of 2019. (wng)
