Annual music festival We The Fest is set to be held as a virtual event on Sept 26-27.

Organized by Ismaya Live, the so-called We The Fest 2020 Virtual Home Edition is said to offer experiences of music, arts, fashion and food, and will be available for free to the public who register on its website.

Indonesian and international musicians are slated to perform at the online event with more details of the lineup to be announced soon.

Launched in 2014, We The Fest is considered to be one of the largest music festivals in Southeast Asia. Among the renowned musicians who have performed at the festival are Lorde, Dua Lipa, The 1975, SZA, Mark Ronson, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Big Sean and G-Eazy.

More than 60,000 people attended the festival’s fifth edition in 2018.

The 2020 edition of We The Fest was initially eyeing an offline event on Aug. 14-16 at the JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, however it was later cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (wir/kes)
