The Women's World Festival will be livestreamed on YouTube and Instagram on Sept. 12 and 13.
he first Women’s World Festival (WWF), an event that aims to elevate, empower and entertain women globally as they face the “new normal” era, will be livestreamed on Sept. 12 and 13.
The festival will be streamed on promoter PK Entertainment’s YouTube channel and on the festival’s Instagram account from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Alongside virtual bazaars and performances, the online festival will feature workshops and webinars on various topics, including lifestyle, beauty, cooking, motherhood, family, entrepreneurship, environment and women’s empowerment. Speakers include actress Asmara Abigail and chef Vania Wibisono, who will talk about self-love while cooking on Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. Effie Putri Adji and Sagita Ajeng Daniari from the Single Moms Indonesia community will discuss the challenges of being a single parent on Sept. 13 at 1 p.m.
Other notable speakers include the founder of organic skincare brand Skin, Dewi Dewi Kauw, the cofounder and CMO of online reading platform Storial.co, Aulia Halimatussadiah, the former Indonesian ambassador to the Republic of Ecuador from 2016 to 2020 Diennayati Tjokrosuprihatono, entrepreneur Desiree Sitompul, the president of Indonesia Fashion Week, Poppy Dharsono, Sintesa Group CEO Shinta Kamdani, journalist Marvin Sulistio, the co-founder of Ayah ASI, Agus Rahmat Hidayat, singer and actress Widi Mulia and standup comedian Sakdiyah Ma’ruf.
The festival’s events will be streamed for free on YouTube and Instagram and will be available five minutes before the session begins. The complete schedule is available on the festival's website.
Established in 2015, PK Entertainment has coproduced events that include Indonesia Online Fest, Anime Festival Asia and YouTube FanFest Indonesia from 2015 to 2019. (wir/wng)
